Islamic New Year; Hijrah 1448 A.H. Message
As we welcome the blessed New Year 1448 A.H., we extend our heartfelt prayers and best wishes to all Muslims and non-Muslims alike. May this new year usher in peace, unity, prosperity and abundant blessings for our families, communities and nation.
The Hijrah reminds us that positive change begins with faith, sacrifice, compassion and a commitment to justice. Let us embrace the values of mutual respect, tolerance and peaceful coexistence regardless of our religious, ethnic, or social differences. Together, we can build a society where every individual is valued and where love triumphs over hatred and unity over division.
We call upon all citizens to promote harmony, protect one another and work collectively for the progress of our nation. Peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is the presence of justice, understanding and sincere concern for the well-being of others.
We also respectfully urge our leaders and government at all levels to place the lives, welfare, and security of citizens above personal, political, or sectional interests. The true measure of leadership lies in safeguarding human lives, ensuring justice, creating opportunities and fostering an environment where every citizen can live with dignity and hope.
May Allah (SWT) guide our leaders with wisdom, bless our land with peace and unite our hearts upon goodness and righteousness.
{ إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ }
"Surely, this is the fraternity of your Faith, a single Faith, and I am your Lord; so worship Me." (Qur'an 21:92)
